Squeaky front end

All of a sudden, LOUD squeak from front end when it bounces or turns. Sounds like it is coming from the middle of the truck (not left or right). Drives straight, brakes fine, no tranny issues? Something needs to be lubed...not sure what. Any ideas?

sounds like your front end is dry.

for some brilliant reason i was only able to find 1 grease nipple in my front end when it was wailing but.....

all of your ball joints are encased in rubber dust boots.

get a grease gun with a needle on the tip and pump all of your dust boots full until grease bulges out.

noise should shut up within an hour or so of driving.

i used a sharp pick to peirce the boots before i shoved the needle in

Unfortunately thats about the only way to do it.These ball joints were "permanently lubricated" meaning, when they go dry...they are indeed dry.The hole in the boot, and grease is usually a temporary fix, perhaps a year. After that its time to have the Ball joints replaced with actual grease fittings on them.
