Ok, as per below, I got my new rear tank in, but now the guage is reading wrong, I have used nearly a quater tank, but the guage shows waaaaayyyyyy over full, so I am guessing I need to bend the float rod?
Luckily, I think I can get the sender out without dropping the whole tank.....
The guage reads fine on the in cab tank, it is only the aft axle one it is wrong on. When I tested the sender/guage unit, the guage followed the float rise and fall, so I am guessing the float rod is bent at the wrong angle?

Before you take the sender out, check your wiring. If your main wire is shorted to metal it will make the gauge peg out clear right, hooked up backward maybe??.. Could be to float or sender but far more likely to be in the wiring...
Well....this may help some who are going to replace the sender...
I knew it had to be the sender unit, as I had tested it before it was installed, and the guage followed the float up and down, it had to be the float level.
Two reasons for this:
1, I installed the wiring and earth, and checked it.
2, When I first put the tank in, and it was empty, the guage showed just above empty, so there was no issue with the wiring.
I had mentioned the above in my other post about installing the tank, sorry, I shoulda mentioned it here too.
I removed the sender, bent the wire arm, and now it reads accurately.
If I was doing this again, I would dummy it up in the tank, put a piece of wire in through the filler hole, and holding the end of the wire move the float up and down while it is in the tank, and see where the guage say's the float is, I would then adjust the arm as needed.
What I found with mine, is the float went below the fuel pickup to get to empty, wayyyy to low, as one the fuel is below the pickup, you can't get it, also, it went wayyyyyy too far up.
