Engine Running Test Trouble

I can not perform an ERT. The engine shut off when i flipped the switch from hold to test.

The KOEO test worked perfectly.

what do i need to do to be able to do the ERT??

I'm not sure how the code reader works, but I know the jumper wire has to be in place before the engine is started when reading the codes manually. Try putting the reader in test mode with the key off, then start the engine.
