MAP sensor part # and source recs

Folks - I need to buy a new MAP sensor. Can anyone confirm that the International # for a 2001 PSD is 1807249C1? I know the OEM part number is F4TZ-9F479-A. Also - any recommendations on where to buy this - I'm in Steamboat Springs CO. Thanks.

How fast do you need it?

You can order it online from PartsGuyEd.com

$306.80 MSRP. OUCH. Ed's Price $165.67 plus shipping. Not so much OUCH.

How did you diagnose the MAP sensor was bad?

EDIT: I guess I farted around about 5 minutes to long.

I'm not sure if you have the right part number. I looked it up:

Map sensor, f250 pick-up - 1999-07 super duty - 1999-07 SUPER DUTY
99-02 $122.84 $66.34

Thanks guys - always a wealth of info. Not yet sure it is MAP sensor - but seems like it might be. Just doing some advance work prior to confirmation.

cheap

The cheaper ones sounds right to me, my buddies late 99 sensor litterally was broken while working on other things, and the local stealership hit us for 110 locally, i know ed would have beat that to death had we not been in crunch mode.

You are correct, F4TZ9F479A is the wrong part number. I shoulda looked the application up in the Ford truck parts catalog, instead of just typing the prices.

The following is the correct part number, type it into Ed's site to see all the applications: F8UZ9F479BA .. Map Sensor (Motorcraft CX1679).

Uh huh. Who's teaching who, kiddo? When I was a partsman in the 1960's, you were sleepin' in your crib...soiling your diapers!

Guys - thanks for all of the info. Just wanted to follow up, but before I do - Ed, my thoughts and best wishes are going your way.

I took the MAP off, checked the hose connection and blew out the hole on the MAP where the hose was attached. Checked the part number - put everything back together. Went for a drive later - no SES light, truck sounds right again.
