Its in her 2005 Subaru Legacy GT Limited. We have since added a pair of subs to her car and the factory one is no longer really needed But she wants to keep it where it is.
I am thinking that a small 8 or 10 in the truck would do the trick, but first I am going to try amplifying the pair of 6x9's that I put in it to see how they do. My audio friend tells me they can put out some decent bass if amplified. I trust his opinion as he has won several sound competitions, been in 17 magazine shoots and 3 tv shows for his audio work.
The one in her Legacy has been going for 6 years and still is decent for a factory system. I have never pulled it out to see what components they used, but with a big ole gas tank behind the seat there are very few options in these old trucks.
I've had amps under my seat before but never subs. I have two JL 10W1s behind my seat now with two antique Autotek amps between them.
Can of worms but I would vote for getting the tank out of the cab. I say this but I still need to get a under bed tank. Mines in the very front of the bed.

In my Subaru and my 89 mustang I run a single 10" Alpine dual voice coil Type R pushed by 500 watt RMS Kennwood amplifier. For the money the Alpine is a wonderful sub. It honestly hits harder than I need. If I can encorporate one of these into the truck I would be very happy.
But for now the tank is staying until I figure a better location Initially we will be doing a small tank below the factory seat tank that will house the electric fuel pump. I have been looking at the Mustang tank in the rear that some have done, but we will more than likely be putting in a fuel cell eventually in the rear with a Fuel Labs or Aeromotive 1300 hp pump (E85 has much greater fuel demand).
If you have put in the bucket seats, you could incorporate a sub box into a center console. I put a box inside the center console of my friends 2005 f150 and it did more that enough. Just my 2 cents.

some of the best subs for the price. i put them in both of my crew cabs('89 and '95) behind the rear seat, and also in my wife's expedition.
