heater problem 96 f150

heater problem 96 f150
I have a 96 f150, and the heat does not blow out hot. i know the heater core is good, both hoses are hot. i think that the blend door between the heater core and evaporator core may be stuck. it looks like it might be cable driven, but not sure. what does it take to get to where i can look at this door? any other suggestions?

it might be vacuum powered, check out the vacuum lines that run to it on the fire wall (if it is indeed vacuum powered)

Does the engine temp. fluctuate while driving? You may need a new thermostat.

temp does not fluctuate at all, and both hoses are hot, i have checked all the vacuum lines i can see and they are good.

anyone know where i can find an exploded view of the heater/air box under the dash.
