FICM code questions
Installed a used/ repaired FICM. If the flash is differetn from the rest of the truck, will the FICM do anything at all? I am getting codes for : lost communication with FICM; Incompatable software for FICM. Also the AE is reading only 10.00 volts for FICMvehicle input power, and 40.00 volts (its lowest possible reading) for output. Batteries read 12.44 volts.
Will the wrong software keep it from turning on completely? I knew there was a good chance it would have to be programmed and plan to send it to Power Hungry for their roll back program.

The code you should get is U0306. Have you tested the voltage at the screw on the FICM with a DVOM? 10V sounds like some kind of error or connection issue, possibly a bad ground??? I'd want to make sure that was a good FICM before I paid to have it flashed. Also, if you send the FICM to have it flashed you'll still get the U0306 code (harmless) as it's not flashed to the PCM.
