Question Valve timing retard?

Hey all you FE people... The question was posed to me: Did mid to late 70's 360 and 390 receive a 4 to 8 degree valve timing retard built into the crank sprocket, just like the 460 and 351 did??? If so, what year was it for the last of the straight-up timing sets? 1971?
Thanks!
Mark

Yes, it was 8 degrees and I do believe this started in 1971 but I am not positive.
