All i did was to change to the 73-76 grille on my 78 bronco was bolt on a 73 -76 grille shell . as for the headlights i used 73-76 headlight buckets .i just had to drill the mounting holes for the headlight buckets here's a pic
The '78 already has round headlights in the right spot. Here's my '78. I never touched the headlights. Just bolted on the grill shell and inserts.
My 79 didn't come with the FORD letters on the hood. I don't think I would do it if it did. And does the harness for the blinkers reach to the top since the blinkers would be on the top instead of the bottom?

When I went to put the grille inserts on the bronco, the headlights sat about inch to high for the 73-76 grille that I used. I found the buckets from a 76 and compared them with the bronco ones there was a difference plus the mounting were different on the 73-76 core support verses 78 bronco core support

good question, if not wont take much to make it reach
It's been about 12 or 13 years since I did it, so my memory for that detail is a little fuzzy. I think they reach, if not, just splice in an extender harness.
Maybe the '77 grill was the reason I didn't have an issue? Either way, it's not alot of work, especially since you have both trucks sitting right there. Just keep swappin' parts 'till you get it right.
mine came from a 74 f-150 that was headed to the junk car round up an my boss who was towing these truck to his lot told me if there was anything i needed i better hurry up an get it .i spent week down there stripping parts for my trucks that's where the grille an bumper came from
Here are some pictures of the 76 and the 79. The 76 was pretty bad off when we got it. (Just really un-attractive) So we waxed it, took the ugly wood racks off and put my Bronco tires on it (33's). But now my Bronco looks dumb. Anyways, Here are pictures of both of them.
