Question gel question

Hey Guys,
Im up in the mountains tonight (i live in nc) and the temps are around 10 degrees f.
Do I need to worry about my fuel gelling? Im running diesel kleen in my fuel as well... Im on my phone so im having a hard time finding this info out...

Oh and also I do have the block heater plugged in as well... not sure if this matters..

Thanks,
Jason

Yup.

Add cetane boost, antigel, especially if they fed you No. 2 (non winter) diesel.

If you have biodiesel, watch out.

There is only one way to find out....

Wait till morning.

If you have doubts, put it inside a garage / building

I reliably start at -4F without aid (heater), and with block heater, down to -40.

Synthetic oil.. antigel.. etc.

The white bottle "Diesel Kleen" has anti gell. The Gray does not.

Did you add it when you filled up? Or did you just pour it in with out it mixing around?

Call the place you last bought fuel from and ask them abou the diesel you bought. Directory service should be able to get you their number.

Plugging it in will not help with fuel gelling. Just an easier start. Mine starts down to -30 w/o block heater.

Don't get too **** about it... you are not in that cold a place.

I started the other day at -13C / 8F

Belched white smoke, clattered, then smoothed out in 30 secs... and then a few min later.. high idle...

I assume your batteries are in top shape

Why don't you sleep on it and see if you have a problem in the morning?
