Code 122 - Throttle Position Sensor voltage lower than expected.

This is indicative of one of a small group of potential issues. 1) the TP sensor itself has failed. 2) The connection between the TP sensor and the wiring harness has been compromised (loose or corroded). 3) The wiring between the TP sensor and the EEC-IV computer is damaged.

Initial steps - To verify the condition of the VREF circuit to the TP sensor, disconnect the TPS from the wiring harness and verify that there is approximately +5VDC between the BROWN/WHITE wire (in the harness) and ground (frame of the truck) while the key is ON. If so, proceed to the next step. If not, check the wiring harness for damage to this wire which runs all the way to pin 26 of the computer. Once you have +5VDC at the BROWN/WHITE wire move on.

To verify the condition of the other half of the TP sensor circuit, repeat the KOEO test with a jumper wire between the BROWN/WHITE wire and the GREY/WHITE wires in the harness connector. If Code 53 is generated during the KOEO test replace the TP sensor. If not, with the key ON take a voltage reading between pin 47 of the computer and ground. This reading should also be approximately +5VDC. If not, check and repair the GREY/WHITE wire between the sensor connector and the computer.

Code 626 - E4OD-related fault code that indicates erratic (or low) TP signal to the shift management portion of the EEC-IV computer. See above procedure and clear all codes before running the truck again.

Obviously the above information is a complete procedure for troubleshooting the entire TP sensor circuit. All steps need not be followed if there is an obvious point of failure in the wiring or connector OR Code 53 is generated when the KOEO test is run with the jumper in place. These conditions point to a failed TPS in the case of Code 53 generated or the obvious electrical continuity failure.

So you have 5 volts at the end of the grey/white wire from the TP sensor connector AT the 156-pin connector on the inner fender? Yikes, so that means the problem is further down the line towards the computer or right there at the multi connector. Check the harness where it goes through the firewall for cuts or chaffed insulation. Best of luck. At least you have it narrowed down.

Not to my knowledge. The EEC-IV computer is mounted behind the plastic kick panel and forward of the shift modulating computer. The EEC-IV computer is aluminum. The shift modulator is plastic.

The attached file is a photo of a computer from a 94 Bronco. The one in your truck should look identical... but still in the truck.
