I had my F250 6L diagnosed with a bad FICM. The Price fix it was anywhere from $600 to $2000. I found the FICM on ebay for around $200- $500. My question is, do i have to have it programmed, and what would be the cost of programming. I had the truck diagnosed a year and a half ago, but have been driving it still, but its a bear to start in the morning, and the engine surges when at a stoplight. I would really like to get it fixed, but my companies work reduction has forced me to postpone it. Im looking for a cheaper way to fix the problem. Any help would be appreciated.

Check the FICM harness ground wire first and YES your FICM could easily be bad.

Go to tech folder and follow the Ford TSB on FICM testing.
