Can't believe this is still going. It means nothing, You first need to divide your graph into the several models, IE: regular cab, extended cab, crew cab, extended cab DRW and crew cab DRW. Then you need to sub divide into the rear axles, IE 3.55, 3.73, 4.10 4.30 and if you include the F450s the 4.88.
Then you can divide into stock and deleted. Once you have those bases you might get enough data to determine some norms for each situation. Then someone who is way out of line could know it and try to determine if the cause was mechanical or poor driving habits.
As it is, just saying a 6.4L powered truck got X MPG tuned means nothing.
I am glad you have this poll because I was curious what kind of mileage other 6.4s were getting. I have a 100% stock 2009 F250 Crewcab 6.4 4X4 with 3.55s that gets an average around 14.5 MPG when not hauling or towing. I say average because I live in a hilly rural area that has few traffic lights, no straight roads and nothing is flat. I guess it is more highway than city but is really neither. I also agree with the post about the physics of moving mass which makes me a little skeptical about these claims of some as high as 20+ MPG with the new 6.7. I do keep my tires properly inflated, use synthetic oil, and change the filters on a regular basis but beyond that, I didn't change anything from the way it was when I bought it. It is a joy to pull trailers with!
I have the same truck and get around 13.5-14 driving in the same rural hilly terrain, but as of oct. burning winter blend I get 12 mpg. Rear is a 3.73 I also have a 2003 6.0 supercab short bed which is at least 1,000 lighter then my 6.4 and that gets about 2 mpg. better then the 6.4
But a 6.4 in any type of normal isnt going to get anywhere close to 20
Even with a program 20 isnt going to be close
I wonder why people say things like this??
Been off the PC a few days and just saw this post and enjoy it. 08 250 6.4 cc srw 4x4 lariat with 61k. I have put 20k miles on it, keep a mpg (hand calc every time) and regen log, and fill up the same every time (except once) Empty hiway 13.7, towing 11.5k 5er on flat land 9.2 and in mountains 8.7. Truck is completely stock. Something I noticed - since truck did a 'drive to clean' the regens are farther apart. Before this they were 125-135 mile interval and now 185-225 intervals - go figure! Still love it. Never look at the gas bill - just the gallons put in.
