Front Spring Swap

I want to put ton springs from a two wheel drive onto my four-wheel drive with the dana 44, 1/2 ton of course. I was wondering if anyone has done this and what they ran into with doing this. Thanks

What are you trying to acheive aside from getting a really stiff ride? I would buy some springs that will do what you want, and give you a decent ride at the same time. A freind of mine put in some stiffer sprngs, and every time he drives it, he kicks himself in the butt when he smacks his head on the roof.

The reason for trying to do this is after putting in a 429, now my springs are sagging too much from all of the added weight. I am going to lift the truck at some point, but just not right now. I feel certain that I can fabricate in the ton springs into the 4wd., and I am not really concerned about the ride quality because after all it is a truck.
