Hey, new guy here, been lurking around reading all the great info.
Just thought I would post up some pics of my truck.
Its a 61, currently in the process of moving the fuel cell out of the bed and installing an aluminum tank between the frame rails.
Sorry for the crappy cell pics, but you get the idea...
Welcome from SoCal, Kory! Nice use of the Caddy taillights. Can you post some more details of the drive train, suspension, etc. It reminds me a bit of the 65 that won "best of show" at the F100 Western Nationals this last year. It was a bright yellow flareside shortbed, too.
Randy, thanks for the compliment on the tailights. Here is some info and pics...
Drive train: Mild built 351W C6 trans and 9" rear end
Suspension: Mustang II front and 4 link rear
Interior: Iditit column bucket seats (those are coming out and being replaced with a bench) Autometer gauges.
Body: Smothed front bumper, shaved drip rails, shaved door handles/locks, shaved gas filler, frenched antenna, caddy tailights, roll pan, smooth tail gate, 3" wider glass rear fenders vent holes in hood.
Dont have really good pics of the front suspension, should have taken some when it was installed. I threw in a pic of the new tank I am installing too.
F/ sure one of the nicer ones I've seen. I'm installing a 455 Olds in my '62, w/ a th400 and 9" Ford, just wanted something different. Have had the truck f/ 24 years. Am getting rid of the 223 6cyl original which still has the standard bore and bearings. Great truck, take care of it. Will be watching f/ you to do more work on it.
That sure is a cool truck. I have been to Greenville once. I work for Angus-Palm but in the Watertown SD office. It is nice to have one already fixed up. Mine is going to take a little longer to get to my flavor. I always thought the yellow would be really cool.
