I have a question, my turn signal stop working so I started looking for the turn signal flasher but could not find it so here is my question on my year slick (1966).
Is the Emergency Flasher a combo Turn signal / Emergency Flasher. Nope.
With Emergency Flashers, there are two flashers behind the dash.
The TSS flasher is located behind the instrument cluster, the H/D Emergency Flasher is attached to a U shaped bracket adjacent to the radio.
The H/D Emergency Flasher (it has a louder click) can be substituted for the TSS flasher, but should not...t'other way around.
The H/D flasher was used for the TSS flasher in Camper Specials and with a tow package. Was installed by dealers for people that were deaf, cuz of its louder click.
Both these 2 prong flashers have been used for over 40 years in passenger car/trucks, so will be readily available from autoparts stores.
