Help.. I need info about a 390 engine
I have a 390 Ford engine that I want to sell and I need some advice about it. If this is the wrong category for this post- please feel free to move it to where it should be.
It is from a 1972 Ford truck.
It was running when we pulled it from the truck 3 years ago and have been sitting in my garage, on an engine stand, ever since.
It has a 50 Holly carburetor.
I really know Nothing about a price to put on this. This was my brothers project and due to health reasons - he can no longer take the project on... and he would like me to sell it for him.
Any input is greatly appreciated!

Go on Craigslist in your area and look for "used engines". I'm thinking $200-500. Good luck.
If you can make it fire and run, even for a few seconds, you'll get better money for it. Of course, if it's going to cost you $100-200 to do that, just let it go for the first offer....

It is up on craigslist for $450 OBO.
My dad said he will come over and do a compression test on it if I have an interested buyer.... Although I have no idea what this means- lol It sounds like a good thing.
