2001 7.3
I have an ongoing problem of no start, but will with starting fluid. I've read a lot here and done a lot of trouble shooting. It seems i am not getting the fuel to start and run. when it started with ether i got no oil pressure on gauge. So i figure its the oil pressure safety switch. Any one know where it is located? Also i don't get any codes on it.

i'm no mechanic for diesels, but i'd check, first to see if the fuel pump is run'n, with key to on. Next, i'd pull the in bowl fuel filter, see if thats full of fuel, then i'd remove the "check plug" on top of the hpop, make sure that has oil up to about 1/2in from plug.

First, stop using ether unless you want to put a new engine in. Second, if your not getting white smoke while cranking check your HPOP resi for oil and if you have a scan tool check your IPR. Also make sure your fuel pump is coming on. Very good chance its one of those two.
