hey guy my power steering hose has a small hole where the fluid shoots out of...is there an easy fix to this? i put the liquid leak stop.i really dont want to take the hose out and guess what car it came off of....is there like a lil plug like you would use on a tire
No fix that I would trust. Is it the high or low pressure line?Neither one is that expensive or difficult to replace. That P-S stop-leak is really for the pump seals, it causes them to swell a bit, but is only a temporary fix.Not for hoses, that I know of.

duct tape,....lol, in all joking aside there is not much you can do to stop a leak in a hydraulic hose especially if it is on the pressure side. You might be able to put a small (tube) patch on it along with a hose clamp but that would be pushing your luck out on the road. Best thing to do would be to replace it.
i will get a new hose,,,remember i have to drive an hour to get the part....and i was looking for a temporary fix...so i dont loose all my fluid or make more mess...thanks
Just to confirm something - it will catch fire if it hits the hot exhaust manifold. I know someone who had this exact thing happen to him on a gas station forecourt. He was lucky to save his old mustang but the potential for an even bigger problem was very serious at the time!
Take the hose off and take it down to your parts place in another vehicle, or alternatively there are usually some companies who will come round and make on up on site at your home (more expensive but might be a good option if its a long way?)
I've had good luck down at the John Deere dealership also, they have a shop in back where they make all sorts of hydraulic hoses. This might be an alternative.
