A couple dumb questions
1. What oil pan does a stock 80-86 2wd with a 302 have rear or front sump?
2. where is the oil dipstick located in front or on the side?
The reason I ask is because I have a 79 ltd that I'm puling the 302 for my 72 f100. The 79 has a double sump pan and I'm looking to get a oil pan that will fit and not drain oil on to my cross member. I don't want to swap the timimg cover and pan to get a stock pan from a 72 if a 80-86 has the right pan.

My 1982 with a 302 has the dipstick on the passenger side.. in the block.
It's been rebuilt.. I don't know if Ford had differences such as that, or if the previous owner used a different block.
Edit: It's not in the block, it's in the timing chain cover.
