Ok rebuilding my d60 and the boots that seal cover the seals on the outside of the ujoints won't fit from Ford. It is the only one they have for this axle. My mechanic just did a truck the same as mine and had no problems. Has anyone had this same problem and or where I could get the right part. Thanks for all your help guys
Sry guys I was typing fast on my phone but yes on the outer axle shafts. I pulled up an exploded view and its called a slinger. It's the dust boot for the oil seal so it is the first part to go on the outer axle shaft then the oil seal. As for the year the guy I bought the axle from told me it was out of a 95 which is the same year as my truck. Only problem is the axle tag on the front is missing so can't give Ford that. I do know it has to be at least a 95 97 because it has the bolt on type calipers. It doesn't have any steering damper or sway bar so I am thinking its a 95 or 96 because didn't all 97 come with them? Thanks guys
Does it have king pins or ball jOints? Pics really would help. To bad theres no axle tag.. Cross your fingers that you got the right ratio :S
It has ball joints I don't think they made kingpin on the mid and late 90's and I can't get pics until Monday. I know I have the right ratio because I had to buy 4.10 ring and opinion for it.
