I just bought a set of headlights but i found out that the headlights i bought were for halogen bulbs not hids. What kind of lens is for hids can someone give me a link or tell me what to look for or what can i do to my lens to make them work with my hids.
The most basic say to explain is if you look at the HID bulb and the incandescent, you will see the the difference in where the light is generated. The HID creates an arc like a welder that runs long ways from the plug to the tip of the glass. The incandescent uses a wire filament that runs the width of the glass.
Because of the location and orientation of the "filaments" you get two distinct patterns of light. The lamps and reflectors will be tuned to focus the light. It will work, but you'll loose some efficiency using the wrong reflector not to mention the problems with aligning them.
