I'm not in the market for a truck anytime soon, but if Ford had offered this engine back in 2007/2008 I wouldn't be driving a Toyota. The Tundra has been great, but the superior fuel economy and real world power (higher peak torque/stronger low end horsepower) would have been hard to resist. Not to mention the option to gently modify power output through ecu tuning on a turbocharged engine. I am sure even a mild tune could easily put the EcoBoost well over the 6.2L V8 where both horsepower and torque output are concerned.
