leaking transmission fluid

leaking transmission fluid
2008 F250 5.4L Regular Cab 4x4
Auto Transmission w/ cooler
smelled something burning last night and took a look under the truck. turns out my transmission is leaking fluid and some of it is ending up on my exhaust. first thought was to check the hoses to/from the cooler, and they're intact. aside from that I can't seem to pinpoint where the leak is coming from.
anyone else run into a similar problem? thanks.

check the dip stick tub there is an o-ring on the end that goes into the transmission,or the pan gasket.A couple months ago mine got 3 leaks all at once.1.was the o-ring 2.was one of the fittings on the tranny were a line connects and 3.was the pan gasket.I believe my trannsmission is the same as yours 06 250 5.4 reg.cab 4x4.
