Hitting the dyno again

Ok any dyno experts out there?
1. Dynojet good or bad?
2. Run in 3 rd or OD?
3. Last year I hit red line in 3 or 4 seconds in 3rd so I was thinking of running in OD to put more load? By the way it's tommorro Thursday.

Good luck and have fun. Do they let you do the run? Start in 3rd with OD off. That's how we did it at RRE.

Dynojets are good. I ran mine in OD and laid down 491, never ran it with OD off.

I'm anxious to see how you do! Mine was also in OD, and the dyno needed more loading for my power level, so the first one was a bit on the low side. I guess I surprised him with my "old" 7.3L...

Here was mine from back in March:

BTW, Ken, I noticed my torque is kinda high compared to others, and even when I ran on stock injectors it was pretty high I thought (best of 310/681). The HP to torque ratio is almost the same on both of my results. I wonder if some engines are just a bit more "torquey" or something....

Did you ever dyno yours with stock sticks & turbo?

I laid down last year 298hp @ 580 tq with stock sticks and no reg rtn. So it's better to run in od cause last year I maxed out my run in like 4 seconds.By the way I am running my own truck

Yeah Chris - run her in OD. Your numbers are gonna blow away those previouse results on stock sticks!

Joe, your stock stick #s are really similar to mine. I dyno'd 309/677 at RRE last year.

Chris dont forget to take some videos of BLK SMK .........
Is it the same place you got it dynoed the last time ?
I think as long as they got enough load when you drop the HAMMER you should be fine .
Maybe this time they got more experience ?............

Good Luck!!!!!!!!!!!

You should be to tell if your driving because you got the feel of your truck . If they tell you to lay it down and you know its not loaded enough I would tell them .

It will if you jump on it too hard. Just roll into it from about 1900-2000 RPMs and you'll be fine. You can run it up as far as you're comfortable with. My first time it went to like 3300. If you look on my sheet above, the guy ran it up once, then I had him shut it down before 3000...

Ok I'll try and practice on the road before I go on the dyno.
