I never had any problems either. It was my ex that did! I had a 25th anniversary Camaro when I lived in Midland that I put serious money in for show including really dark glass. She took it for an afternoon cruise one nice day while I was gone and found a trooper in a pizzy mood I guess. That car actually got trailered to Freeland Ford and traded for a new '94 F-150 XLT that I had for ten years and not one problem!
Things i was always told about tint, if pulled over in the dark, turn on your inside lights, pulled over during the day, have your window down and hands on the wheel.
Then the the things you do just out of respect, pull way off the road, so they are not in danger, if raining, close to cover, find it, such as gas station over hangs.. Remember, 90% of the people an officer deals with is lying, make their job just a little easier, it may pay off, it might not, but you just have to understand, their work conditions are not always the best.
The tint is manufactured in degrees of darkness (30%). I like the tint on cars. My black 08 Edge is blacked out and a little on the windshield.
However state law says no window treatment is to be on the windshield nor the front windows of the vehicles. This is in short terms.
Be careful the troopers are very strict with this. No, I'm not a trooper. I've been stopped by them numerous times coming home from work when I dont frive my Ex.
Company called sunshades used to tint whatever you wanted and then ask if you wanted an insurance upgrade of $35 dollars. In case you got a waivable ticket for the tint. They would take it off, you take the car and get the ticket signed off on, and then take it back to them and they would replace the tint.
Yeah, that's just showing some respect for the uniform Pat. Everyone get's the mood once in a while. Officers probably deserve to get it more often, particularly after meeting my ex. I know I couldn't do that job.
I never had that Camaro out at night other than one parade and with the windows down. With 'em up it wasn't good away from the street lights.

Hahahaha, I can just imagine what the officer would have to say when he saw you a second time!
In 7 years of working I have never wrote a ticket for window tint. Thats not to say I haven't used it as a tool to stop a vehicle that might look a little shady. . That is when I'm not getting called for a guy (Pat) doing donuts in a parking lot getting rid of his "gelling".
My Ex and Edge are both tinted. The drivers and passeneger side windows are one shade lower than the back seat factory tinted windows. The fronts look wierd when they are darker than the backs (IMO).
