Ello,
A couple weeks ago i aquired an old 1972 E200 Econoline Cargo Van, I let the previous owner do the driving on the test drive cause i wasnt comfortable trying to shift with a 3-on-the-tree. He made it up to 55 on the highway without any problem other than taking a bit long to get there. Well now i can barely get the thing to go past 45 unless i'm goin down a nice hill, anyone got a clue to what the prob might be.
Also, does anyone know how hard it would be to put in a power steering system and any places they could recomend for getting the parts, thnx.
What's the rear end gear ratio? What is the engine? Do you run out of pedal or is the engine just red-lining ?
It may be just a setup that was made for deliveries and never got out of town/city.
