Hello all and my name is not Matt, but Mike and thanks for the welcome!
I live in the Gilbert area.
I recently purchased a 77 ford f150 that is overall in good shape, but I want to "kind of" fix it up/restore it. It will mainly be used for chores around the house and is a 2 wd, but it is rough and the wife wants it to look really good before she will drive it
I posted a thread in the main forum with a list of what the truck has and one of the things I want to change is the olds 403 engine and transmission, although it runs great with only 2500 miles on the rebuild.
I guess I am hoping to leverage the local knowledge to find places to buy used parts or service centers or mechanics who are willing to teach a newbie like me the ropes. I am willing to pay someone for their time, but do the work so that I can learn how to do a lot of this myself.

Welcome, Mike, from sorta next door to Gilbert. The mat/Matt thing was "supposed" to be a joke.

My wife always wanted my "rough" trucks to look really good before she would even let me park them in the driveway for the neighbors to see, let alone for her to be seen riding in one or driving one....
