Ford or other remote starter?

I am pondering the idea of having a remote starter installed in my 09 FX4. I am not sure if I should go to the dealer and have them put in a Ford system or get a non ford one. I have heard of problems with remote starters, my truck has the sony entertainment and navigation system, I dont want to screw anything up. Anyone have any input?

I'm getting an Excalibur installed next week..

The kid thats putting it in does the installs for the dealer too and reccommended this one...

$300.00 , 1000' range, and a key fob that will also unlock the doors...

PATS problems are the most problematic with remote start systems.

I had the Excalibur installed on my 2010 Lariat screw when new. Have had no issues with it.

Had the Ford remote installed prior to delivery. That makes it covered for 36/36000. No problems whatsoever, and starts from quite a distance.
