Got some ?'s

Hello, I am new to this so let me know if im on the right track. I am switching my truck from a 460 fuel injec.ed to a diesel. I no i can do it its just i want to know how and what all i need besides the obvious. Or would it be better to just leave it alone. Thanks

Do you have a complete doner truck or just the engine?

I have a completer donor truck runs good but it not an extended cab like mine and its a 1 ton dually mine is just single axle 3/4 ton

That's good because you'll need quite a list I believe. You'll need the fuel tanks and the radiator. Since you have a different cab you can't use the doner fuel lines, but I'm not 100 percent sure you'd need them or not. You'll need the transmission too, or at least will have to modify yours. If there's anything else I'm forgetting, someone will add it.

Oh I guess I should have asked what year your truck is and what year/engine the doner truck is. For some reason I was thinking about a 7.3 idi, probably because that's what I have... If it's newer it would probably be similar, but I can't speak with too much confidence, as I don't know much about them.

the doner truck is a 95 and the motor is 7.3 turbo. Thanks for all your help so far and i would appreciate any further help.
