Catalytic Converter

I was driving back from Tennessee last week when I stopped for gas and heard a strange clicking noise coming from under the truck while it was idling. The next day, the check engine light came on and stayed on. I took it straight to the dealer and my service advisor called me today and informed me that my right catalytic converter had "come apart". Has anyone had this problem?

The cat on my 2003 diesel had a weld crack where the exhaust pipe attached. Took it to a muffler shop and they welded it back together. Knock on wood, it's been six months and it's holding fine.

I guess I just got a bad one. My truck is a 2009 FX4, and only has 14k miles on it.

It happens from time to time on any vehicle.....I wouldn't worry too much about it.
