must pull engine to repalce head gasket?

is there a way to replace the headgaskets on my 2000 f150 5.4 without pulling the engine?

Yes but I would rather pull the engine. The main problem is alignment of the head and the rear head bolt clearance. Alignment can be greatly helped by using a engine host to guide the head into position.
Dealers pull the cab off.

ALLDATAdiy shows the first step is to remove the engine. After looking at the Head gasket procedure in there I can see why, I can't imaginee doing it in the truck.

I've done it engine in and engine out. No reason to pull the cab. You can have the engine out in 2 hours.
