first intake mods?
thanks for the info and welcome.
...looks like the snorkle was removed and a K&N stuck in front.
I have read that most that used the K&N went back to stock as they moved the power band up.
I though I ran across some threads around cutting a bigger hole in the snorkle.....any merit?
Just looking to give the snorkle a bit wider mouth and cooler air.

I had also done the Zoo-Dad mod to help funnel cool air in at speed.
Merits? Well it sounded a lot cooler at WOT!
It also was good for a minimal highway MPG increase.
Just a note, on the Banks Power Pack for the V10, they have a "normal" front airbox with a molded in snorkel. I'm not sure if there is a size difference but I have to think that if there was a huge gain (HP/TRQ) from opening the airbox, then those guys would've done it, IMHO.
