Okay, I'll go out and look, but keep in mind, I'm adding power brakes, the truck didn't come with them.

I'm assuming its the hex plug on top of that tree next to the heater hose?

Yep, that is the spot. You may have to find one in a JY that has the tube pointing up or hunt through the Dorman section for a threaded fitting at your fav box store or maybe one of the parts guy knows with just a couple of clicks

Without sanding my vacuum block down to verify my assumptions, my fitting is soldered in same as the other tubes in the block, not a threaded fitting.

Thanks Larry, I appreciate you posting those. That original paperwork is a pretty rare thing, and your build sheet is one of the nicest I've ever seen. Most are stuffed in the springs under the seats, and get really tattered.

I notice your truck has a rear step bumper listed. I'm wondering if it is the kind that had the dealer's name and city stamped into it? Those kind of bumpers used to be very common, but I hardly ever see one on these old trucks anymore.

I don't get a lot of progress, but in the last 24 hours I've picked up 2 pair of slot mags for my truck, last night I got a pair of 15x10's and tonight I got a pair of 15x8's.

I'm pretty stoked, but I'm so busy this month I won't get to mess with them until May. Thinking of Cooper Cobras. I like the BFG Radial T/A's but BFG doesn't make them anymore although someone is...

Thinking 245/60-15 or 255/60-15 up front and 275/60-15 or 295/50-15 on the rear. Best Prices I've found are from tires-easy.com, a set of 255/295 is $475.40 shipped and a set of 245/275 is $425.40 shipped.

Got the remaining bead off the 10 shown in the pic above yesterday. Last night I got my plasterer's tub out, some Simple Green and some hot water and started cleaning, only got 2 wheels done, the worst 10 and a 8.5.

Noticed the 8.5's had been polished at one time, the 10's have a clear coat and are machined. Used some 320 wet/dry to clean on the lip and return of an 8.5 and think I came up with a finish for them. Polish the lips and returns and do the rest of the wheel in a metallic grey, then clear the whole thing, this would be powder coating.

I have a plan for center caps, but it's a secret for now.
