Knock

Hey guys I have an 89 F-150 5.0 4x4 anyway my truck has always had a knock since i got it. It is not audible to me until 1900 rpm. but from 1900 til 3300 it is pretty darn noticeable unless the engine is under a load. please help this is concerning me as I have no other vehicle to drive at the moment.

have you checked the oil?
