Transmission problem
OK, so I had a wierd problem happen yesterday. I have a 2008 F250 6.4L with 122,000 miles. My brother and I were at our cabin doing some hunting. I started my truck and drove to a hill (truck has 8" lift) to load my 4 wheeler. After loading 4 wheeler, by brother asked me about my tuner(Spartan DashDaq). I loaded a new tune and showed him how it worked. When the tune was finished loading, I got back into truck and started it. I put the truck in drive, but it wouldnt engage. Put it in reverse, and truck would drive in reverse, but not go into drive. When I put truck in drive, it would rock backward like it was going into reverse, but still not move. I loaded a different tune 3 times and nothing changed. I finally decided to load the stock tune back in it and it worked fine. Drove about 45 miles to the house, loaded +175 tune, and trucked worked fine again. No tranny shifting problems. Drove around last night and today without any more problems. Is it the tuner that screwed up when loading new tune? Bad valve/servo problem in tranny? Has this happened to anybody else before?

I would definitely contact the tuner manufacturer. You don't want permanent corruption in your trucks computer. At least have it on record with them that you had the problem so if any "permanent" damage has been done then they might fix it.
