Shortning 65 long bed
Who knows if I can just take a section out of the front of the bed or will I need to do front and back of the wheel. Thanks for any input

You need to take some out of the front and some out of the back.

You take like 18" of of the front and 6" in back.

You better have a level driveway to line everything back up.

My self I would just do the front so I still have a long look with the short wheel base.

If you live the the IE hit me up I will help to see it done.

thank you for the info if i cant find a short wide bed at a good pice im gonna have some work to.

Chopping the bed wouldn't be as bad as the frame. You might want to consider finding a swb frame and do a swap.

If you search the C10 Forums theres lots guys do some wild stuff with the whole truck.

When you cut the frame save the section you just cut out to reinforce the frame. Many people done it along with Z'ing the frame, and they last. I would personally do it to my truck if I was inclined, but it will probily be my next one. This one is too nice to cut up into a hot rod.

Thanks for all the input. I have a short bed frame truck with a step side bed and im wanting to go to a short wide bed but there hard to find.and I
selling my step side bed $300
