Trouble with google?

Hi,

Don't know if anyone's around on New Years, but what the heck.

I use Google for my home page, mainly because it's bland. However, it's been flaky since last night. Frequently won't load and it eventually shows a message from some so called anti phishing outfit.

Ran a Norton with no issues. Just wondered if anybody else noticed it.

Thanks and Happy New Year

hj

No issues here.
I just completed and email to a family member with about 10 links to various places as consideration for next years vacation plans.
Everything loaded flawlessly and without any delay.
A flip side to that is about 2 months ago I had some issues with my service provider (Comcast cable modem) where I was downloading everything fine, but nothing would upload.
The result of that is I could log into FTE and read, but not post.
I couldn't search for much of anything on Google because it was never recieving my input.
I called and told them about it, spent a bunch of time on the phone as they attempted to diagnose the issue.
At the end of that 45 minute phone call they basically told me what I already knew - that nothing was uploading and they needed to send a tech out to the house and figure out what was going on.
Made an appointment for a few day from then.
Meanwhile I see the modem resetting itself in such a way that made me believe that they were trying to fix it at thier end and sure enough that's what happened.
They called me back the next day and informed me that the problem was at thier end.
I verified that was true via speedtest.net.

Shorebird is right, your computer is infected.
If it will let you, download and install malwarebytes (in his list). Let it update, run a full scan and get it to remove any malware found.
If it will not let you download it then download and save it on a clean computer and put it on a disc and then install on your computer. Then let it update and run a full scan.
