What would you pay?
Looking for a new 460 for my '79 250, and I got a email for a '79 460 with low miles and upgrades. This is what he listed
Check bearings, tight.
New gasket set
Edelbrock Performer intake
Edelbrock Thunder Series 650cfm carb w/electric choke
Edelbrock Timing set
Edelbrock engine dress up
MSD Ready run distributer
MSD High vibration coil
MSD 6AL ignition control
Fresh coat of Ford Blue paint
Said it was in a '79 F350 that was wrecked, and had 40K original miles, and he pulled and put in a '78 Bronco that was used in 3 4x4 competitions, then switched it for a 514 stroker. Freshened up the engine, and put in a '77 F350. He was asking $1000, and I talked him down to $900. Fair price?

IMO, the price is fair with all the goodies listed. I say do a compression check, let it idle for 20 minutes to look for any leaks, check the oil pressure, engine vacuum, and observe for any cooling issues.
