Trac-bar bolt size?

It is 30 MM. Or a 1 3/16 should be a nice fit. If these bolts have never been removed before you will need an impact gun or a very large breaker bar and pipe combo. They are torqued to 383 ft lbs plus red lock tight from the factory.

If I'm not going to be reusing the bolts for the trac-bar would there be any problem with cutting the heads off the bolts with a sawzall? It seems like that would be a lot faster than trying to break them loose knowing they are torqued to 385# with red locktite.

Fred I would not cut the bolts . They are over 18 bucks each and last time I checked they only sell them in packs of 4. Of course you said you plan on not re using them so what will take its place?

Pro Comp has a component kit that includes new U-bolts for the springs and a some cam adjustable bolts that allow you to adjust the trac-bar. It worked really well and was the easiest part of the spring swap. The bolts in the trac-bar broke loose pretty easy (less than 150#). The combination of cam bolts takes the place of the old bolts and allows you to adjust the trac-bar about 1/4 to1/2 inch. The new springs (Pro comp 22210) gave the X about a 3.5 inch lift.
