Mystery Accessory Fuse/Relay

Mystery Accessory Fuse/Relay
While installing a remote starter on my 2002 7.3 F250, I accidentally shorted my accessory 2 wire while splicing into it just below the steering column the circuit no longer has power. When I turn the key it will crank but not start and the instrument panel, glowplugs?, etc do not power. I don't think the fuel pump runs either. I have checked EVERY fuse in the fuse box under the dash and all are good. Does anyone have any idea where the problem could be?
Thanks
Andy

You don't have the fuse box under the hood. In 2002 they moved them to the cabin fuse box. What did you splice into? Maybe post a pic and we can try to find some wiring diagrams.
You can find the diagrams here: EBSCOhost - world

This is not descriptive enough to help you. Like Grant suggested pics would help. What color are they? Do they run into the steering column?
Fuel pump does not run, GPR does not operate, no instrument lights (I take it you mean indicator lights) and no blown fuses. All are operated by the PCM. Was the key in the ignition? Hope the PCM isn't fried.

It is the red and black "Ignition 2" wire visible below the steering column when you remove the fuse box panel cover. The picture is of the ignition switch, this is where i was splicing.

I will add the fact that I can jump power over from another wire and all of my accessories will work. Would it be ridiculous to find another source to tie into that circuit? I really need to to get this fixed tomorrow.
Thanks for the help!

You said you checked the fuses but double check fuse 58, 25, 26. To me this points to a bad ignition switch if all the fuses are good. If you know how to troubleshoot off the wiring diagrams you should be able to pinpoint it for sure. I goggled a 2002 7.3 ignition switch and looks like they are about $20 for an aftermarket so you would not be out a lot of money if that is not it. I'm curious how it shorted. That wire should only be hot with the key on.

I had the ignition switch unhooked from the key linkage and had slid it into the on position without noticing. Your advice does seem to make sense because I must have power to the ignition switch so if I don't after it, problem solved... I just don't see how such a small short could fry the switch?
Ill check it out in the morning, Thanks again!

That would make it hard to check if you don't have that fuse. I looked up a 03 7.3 and this would make more sense. Hopefully you can figure something out. I got that diagram from the power distribution system on the link I posted earlier in the thread.

Sorry to do this, but I was needing a wiring diagram as well and have not been able to find a good on. My center pin on my 7 pin trailer connection no longer is hot. I have checked all of my fuses and relays (that I know of) and they are all good. I would like to trace the wire using a diagram if there is one available. I have an 03 so all of my fuses are under the steering wheel. None under the hood. Thanks for any help.
