I run a kill switch that deactivates the fuel pump. I tap into the fuel pump inertia switch and install a tiny switch somewhere hidden. I have this on my gas vehicles and on the Powerstroke. They crank and may start if there is residual fuel pressure, but die within seconds. The switch and necessary wire runs no more than a few $$. I buy my micro toggle switches from Radio Shack.

Also use a Club on all my vehicles.

Hope this helps.

Thanks, it does help. Smith and Wessons make such a mess anyway!

I have a viper alarm and just added a smart start to it. I saw the post that said the viper has a range of 1 mile--true; unless you are in a steel building. The smart start has an unlimited range as long as you can send and receive a text. Also, I would be more worried that some thief would try to steal what is inside of your truck (more so that the actual truck). This comment comes from experience--one truck went to Mexico...no, really...SAPD called 10 months after my 2004 was stolen and said my truck was in Juarez. Meanwhile, I'm on stereo no. 3 in my 2005. Just added JimmiJammers to all four doors. Luckily, I can't tell you how the jammers are working!!!

y

Isn't there a built in gas / diesel fuel cutoff in all Fords?

Switch on the right side kick panel.

Just tap into the wiring there for your switch.

I am in Houston, hear about trucks going to Mexico all the time. I do have concern about breaking into also, sliding back glass sort of begs that to happen. I like the jimmy jammer idea.
