Oil Cooler Leaking

The oil filter mount/cooler appears to be leaking on my 94 F350 with 7.5l v8.
1. How many of the belts/accessories have to be removed to get to this so I can replace it?
2. Will all the oil & coolant drain out when the cooler is taken off?

Thanks in advance

Oil Cooler Leaking

I am not familier with that set up. However, you should be able to unbolt it without to much trouble. It shouldn't drain the oil in your system if you simply break the siphon effect by plugging one of the holes.

Do I understand that your oil cooler and filter mount are bolted together? Usually the cooler can be disconnected from the system and a new one installed. The oil mount also should disconnect from the lines without a great loss of oil.

Oil Cooler Leaking

The manual I have at home doesn't go older than 96 but I think it's the same. Yes you will need to drain the coolant. You will lose a bit more oil than when you change your filter but not all of the oil in tthe engine. Here is what the manual says...........
I'm not sure why they call the oil filter the "oil bypass filter"

Engine Oil Cooler

Removal

Drain the engine cooling system. Refer to Section 03-03 .

Raise the vehicle. Refer to Section 00-02 .

Remove the oil bypass filter.

Disconnect the lower radiator hose (8286) from the engine oil cooler.

Loosen the hose clamp securing the engine oil cooler hose to the water pump (8501).

Remove the oil filter adapter mounting bolt (6894).

Disconnect the engine oil cooler hose at the water pump and remove the engine oil cooler.

Disconnect the engine oil cooler hose from the engine oil cooler.

If necessary, remove the oil filter mounting insert.

Clean the engine oil cooler with a commercially available, environmentally safe solvent and dry with compressed air.

Inspect the engine oil cooler for sludge deposits, housing cracks, bent hose connections or other visible damage. Replace the engine oil cooler if any damage is found.

Engine Oil Cooler

Installation

If removed, install the oil filter mounting insert and tighten to 61-203 Nm (45-150 lb-ft).

Connect the engine oil cooler hose to the engine oil cooler and slide both hose clamps over the engine oil cooler hose.

Push the engine oil cooler hose onto the water pump inlet until bottomed against inlet ridge. Align arrow on engine oil cooler hose with notch on inlet ridge.

Install the engine oil cooler by piloting the adapter portion onto the oil filter mounting insert.

Install the oil filter adapter mounting bolt and tighten to 54-88 Nm (40-65 lb-ft).

Tighten both hose clamps securing the engine oil cooler hose to 1.6-2.8 Nm (15-25 lb-in).

Connect the lower radiator hose to the engine oil cooler and tighten the hose clamp to 3-4 Nm (27-35 lb-in).

Coat the oil bypass filter gasket on a new oil bypass filter with specified engine oil. Place the new oil bypass filter on the engine oil cooler and hand-tighten until the oil bypass filter gasket contacts the sealing surface, then tighten an additional one-half turn.

Lower the vehicle. Refer to Section 00-02 .

Fill the crankcase with the proper grade and quantity of engine oil.

Fill and bleed the engine cooling system. Refer to Section 03-03 .

Operate the engine at fast idle and check for engine oil and coolant leaks. If leaks are evident, perform the necessary repairs to correct the leakage.
