I've always kind of wondered about that too. I know any of them I've seen drive crazy, makes you wonder how they keep a clean driving record. One of our neighbors use to drive for UPS and he had a 300 I6 and put over 300,000 miles on it I believe, without ever having any work done to it except for routine stuff. I want to say he had like 333,000 miles on it, I know a lot of the digits were the same. I don't know, it may have went further but he retired. The diesel the guy around here drives does sound alright, don't know what it is though. I still like it when somebody tries to tell me how much longer a diesel will last than a gas and point out the UPS trucks with the 300 I6 in them It just shows you that good maintence is the key.
UPS at one time had a graphic showing the differences in the brown van and Dale Jarret's race car! It listed the van as having a 5.9 Cummins ISB. You can go to cummins.com to see more about the engine.
