2.5 engine.

I have a 98 Mazda B2500 with the 2.5 engine. Question is since the 2.5 is a stroked version of the 2.3 is it still a non interference engine meaning if the timing belt breaks will it do damage to the valuetrain? I know the 2.3 in my 92 was.
