I came to thinking last night, i dont have any of ID tags on my truck. I do remember finding one tag in the dash area, dont remember exactly where. I have a pick of it, if someone could help me id the tag, or point me in the right direction as to where to get the tag info. Heres the pic. Click on it for a bigger view.
This is a buck tag...its on the seats...the date is the mfr date I assume of the seat assembly I believe.
The Warranty Plates are on the drivers door rear latch face on 63-up trucks and on the inside of the glovebox door on the prior years...Im not certain about years prior to 1957 though.
Thanks for the info. I jsut checked on the driver door, and low and behold the tag is there! painted over a few times so i missed it. Looked at the vind#, and its not matching the title... Sooo tomorrow im going to wire wheel the frame and see if i can find the vin on there. Just hoping the frame vin matches the title vin, or else i dont know what to do.
Well today i wire wheeled the por15 off of my frame in the area looking for the vin, and managed to find it, and the frame vin matches the title vin! Real happy about that lol.

This is not a seat buck tag, it's a Domestic Special Order buck tag, would have been installed on the firewall (dash).
It tells the assembly line workers what special parts to install on this particular vehicle.
The three items were special for this truck, not RPO's (Regular Production Orders). The 3rd line is a special radiator, what the other two lines refer to, I haven't a clue.
A seat buck tag would have an 13 digit ID number that was related to the type of seat and upholstery.
Seats were not made by FoMoCo, so in order for assembly line workers to ID the seat as to what it was for, the maker installed a Ford buck tag.
The Warranty Plate is the same 1964/65. 1966/69 is different (more rectangular with different wording), 1970/72 (and later) is different again.
Martiauto.com has the 1966 and later plates, not sure inre to 1964/65.
Thanks for the info! The Warranty plate on my current driver door is wrong, so i will end up replacing. Im not looking for originality, as my truck is already resto-modded with a 351w and c4 swap, so even the later tag ive seen on mati's site would look pretty good, and have it made for what my truck currently has. Again, thanks a bunch for the help, really appreciated!
Came across a guy in the Denver area; who repops; "Warranty Tags". His email is dataplt@bresnan.net
