Fuel pouring into the engine from the carb is usually caused by dirt getting into the float needle inside the carb, hanging it open, and it overfills the bowel and fuel runs down into the engine.

No matter if your plugs are new, if they are wet with fuel, they will not fire. You can take them out and try to dry them off, but even that doesn't work sometimes and you have to get new ones.

You should have a inline fuel filter going into this carb to help prevent this problem. These trucks are famous for the fuel tanks rusting, and all it takes is a little flake of rust to hang the float needle open.

i do have an inline fuel filter. i put it on with the new carb. i am prolly gunna take the carb apart and check it out tomorrow. replace the spark plugs and the fuel pump. ive been reading that its kinda common for the pump to break internaly and fuel to leak into the crankcase...

When things "suddenly stop working" I tend to suspect something electrical - a
bad connection, burnt-out component, something like that. In my experience, a
fuel delivery problem will display symptoms and arrive over time instead of
suddenly.

BUT this is not always the case... when it comes to needle valves, all it takes is
one small piece of crud to cause a problem.

I would be looking at/in the carb while cranking the engine to try and see from
where these puddles are originating.

today i put in new spark plugs and a new fuel pump. checked the floats on the carb, they were good. turned the key and she fired right up! lol. now the problem is it keeps dieing after and 30 seconds. from what im seeing is the fuel is not flowing. i have a see through fuel filter and the pump is only pumping a few times while the engine is running. when the engine is off, the fuel slowly comes back. i think its very low if not out of gas. so tomorrow after work im gunna put some in it and if that doesnt work than im gunna take the fuel pump back and try another.

I have never heard a real explanation, but fuel can kill the sparkplugs dead. I think it's really bad on chainsaws and motorcycles. I don't know a foolproof method to bring them back either. I have had engines where a few of the sparkplugs were fouled, and I got it running good enough to take down the road, and I could not believe it actually took driving it about 5 miles hard before all them actually came around and started firing. I was getting ready to give up and buy new ones on that occasion also.

my fourwheeler always fouls plugs. but that prolly cuz i run race fuel and a few mods. shes real fast but im always fouling plugs. the plugs in my truck were not to bad at first. i still cleaned em up and put them back in. pulled them out today and they were real bad. put the new ones in along with doing some other stuff and it fired up damn near instantly. LOTS of white smoke came out the exhaust for about 30 seconds.
