New restorer needs help

Hey guys I’m new to the remolding scene, I have a 73 F350 XLT Ranger and I am having a problem getting it rewired. I recently bought a brand new ignition switch for the dash and I can’t figure out how to wire it to the starter. Does anyone have a picture or instructions on how I should wire everything together? thanks!

Welcome aboard!
Are you missing your engine bay wiring harness along the passenger side? The ignition switch wiring is just part of the circuit!;

Pretty much what hapened is someone tried to hot wire the truck and just cut the wires and took the ignition switch with them. I don't know about the wireing harness

Post thanks for the help

Since I’m new to the whole idea of the restoring project I don’t know how to read these diagrams. My problem is that I bought a new key ignition switch that has 6 black wires coming out of it. And I have 6 different colored wires coming out of the dash, I need someone who knows what is the best way to determine what wire goes with which.<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-comfficeffice" /><o></o>
Sorry for all the trouble.<o></o>
