Last night Blueovalbud and i got my truck running finally.
She's had tons of problems small and large, got a new engine for $350 and never saw it running. But now after 8 months of working and tinkering, she startedup last night, and is running great.
I'd Just like to thank everyone on here who helped me out through the process, and would like to say this site it probably the most helpful pages i've been on.
I still have to put up the drive shafts and some small details before I can put it on the road. but all the major work is done ...for now
That is good to hear you have your truck back up and running. 8 months is a lot of time to wait without the vehicle that you like, you must be a very patient person? But do not skip the little details that you have left still, because sometimes the little details can make for another big repair job, and I do believe right now this is the last thing you want tehe
it took 8 months because i had to go back to school and leave it sitting for 3 months and this fall i've been working a ton, and i didnt mind the long wait because i learned sooo much in the process, but yes i'll be very careful with the small stuff. most of the work is just body work and mounting skid plates so nothing to really worry about.
And john it is a great feelling to hear it start to run for the first time, good luck with yours
