So, its been dump'n buckets here today. Truck, in most part, stayed parked all day, until this evening. Fired it up, to go fetch firewood..(roll'n to da desert). WHen i opened the door, i heard this noise, like i had company, but from under my dash. Looked around couldn't see anything, but still hearing, mind you, i havn't fired the truck yet. Kept tweek'n around, looking, but nuth'n, drive'n me bonkers. I just happened to look up, and see my ac/htr switch, not at "off" position, so what, right...nope, when i switch to "off", then noise went away.
Alright guys, roll'n out for next few days, and it be convenient to have a heater. AM i cool to run it, or leave ur off, til i can investigate further. With it off, the noise is deminished/gone, truck otherwise, runs great......just concerned if something is about/gonna happen? Thanks again, for any/all helps.
I don't know if the blower is truely bad? It just caquendence that we are having the same problem. It still blows fine it just noisey as all get out. Hopefully the rain and wind will calm down? So I can look at it in more depth. Right now I can't even see across the street to my neighbors house.
Well you got a squeaky noise and I got a howl. Go figure?! Where do you live Tim?
Smell-some-more....(elsinore). For life of me, cant find "smiley" add-on clips.
Back at hand, yeah, tripped me out. Go figure, night before roll'n out, ofcourse, new truck, trailer..etc, so EVERYTHING run'n thru your head, and BAM, darn issue, but rolled to store, and no issues. The blower,..etc, doesnt make noise, and it still works, but when powering off, is when it acts up. Sounds like gauges tweeking out,...that kind of noise. Hell, if only few bolts, and now i know location, i'll take a stab. Only had truck for 2wks, and after read'n all threads/post on these pigs, tore turbo out, to gut it up.
Side note, think the "remote" locking deal goin south as well, driverside has mind of its own. Hit and miss, when it wants to unlock. Get'n annoying, undoing pass. side to unlock it all, plus driverside aint got no keylock (was broken into, in PO hands.)
Sounds like the actuators for the door locks are weak. Depending on the temp, some of my doors will unlock and others wont. There's a little resistor in the motor locks to keep them from burning up if you hold the lock or unlock button (thats why they get weaker and weaker if you sit there playing with them a few times). This thread will show you how to get rid of that part and fix the sluggish locks Lock actuator fix with pics
